In this 6 weeks course you will learn how to practice the most common Pilates exercises for a healthy spine in the safest and smartest way, so that you can get the most of your workouts.
When practicing Pilates, a clear understanding of the technique is key in moving efficiently and maintaining muscular balance.
This is why in this course you will explore every exercise in details, focusing first on on posture, breathing patterns and deep internal muscles activation, then on spinal articulation, and back and side body strength.
At the end you will be able to step into any other class with confidence and clarity.

Hi, I am Vanessa!
I am a qualified Advanced Pilates teacher, specialised in Pre and Post Natal Pilates, and Pilates for Orthopaedic Conditions.
Pilates has been a game-changer for me: it has allowed me to reduce back pain and gain strength, control and confidence in any other activity.
In this programme I have condensed everything you need to know to train your core and maintain your back young and mobile, refining the most common exercises with correct alignment of the pelvis and spine.
This course is designed for Beginners or post Natal people, or those who are recovering from injuries and need to take it slow, but even if you’ve been practicing for a while, getting clear on these foundational concepts will help you work deeper into your self-practice!

This course is inclusive and full of options for every body, so it is both a wonderful entry point if you are new to Pilates and an opportunity to slow down and work deeply if you have previous experience. All the positions are explained in details with modifications and variations, and the pace is slow enough to give you the time to listen to your body and check how you feel in different configurations. If you wish to keep your camera on during the LIVES I will be able to give you personalised feedback and suggestions, and you will also be able to ask any questions at the end of each session.

No equipment is required besides your mat or a rug, but if you want extra support, you might want to have a towel to pad your mat, a thin Yoga block or book, and a long elastic band.
