Umbria Yoga retreat - 18th/23rd June 2020


Join me and my co-host, Zaz Zarouhi Grumbar, for 5 magical days in the hills of Umbria, Italy, where we will explore our practice and reconnect to ourselves and to nature’s elements through yogic and somatic movement practices, and more!


We are so delighted to be offering the opportunity to spend 5 days together in the beautiful hills of Umbria, reconnecting to ourselves and to nature.

Give yourself the opportunity to unwind, unplug and rediscover a deep sense of connection between your mind and body. The healing practices of yoga, from restorative to dynamic vinyasa and mandala, will balance your energetic needs, while somatic dance explorations will help you become more aware of your inner sensations and express through movement.

Meditation, pranayama and opportunities for intention setting and journaling will also contribute to a sense of grounding and inward connection, while delicious organic and locally-grown vegetarian food will nourish and restore your body and soul.



Green Italian hills


Also known as the Green Heart of Italy, Umbria is the perfect location for reconnecting to nature and yourself. Unspoilt and authentic, its clean air and inspiring views enrich the mind and eye. Wilder and less touristy than the neighbouring Tuscany, Umbria is full of cosy hilltop stoney villages, with small castles and churches, an artistic and historical jewel!


Eco-chic accommodation


Located in the Umbrian countryside, close to Assisi and Perugia, as well as other historical villages, our retreat venue is a beautiful Lodge that was originally built as a ‘Casale’ (a traditional Umbrian house) in 1800. The area has so much to offer for those who wish to explore, or equally, you can simply relax by the salt-water pool and take in the fresh air and sounds of nature around you.



Your typical day on retreat


We will be offering days bookended by yoga practice - Vinyasa yoga/Vinyasa mandala in the morning, optional workshops to deepen your practice after breakfast, and relaxing yin and restorative yoga in the evenings.

You will also have the opportunity if you wish to book private one-to-one sessions or posture clinics with either of us - basically, over the 5 days, you can do as much or as little as you wish!

7.30am-9am Vinyasa/Mandala Flow to connect to the elements

9am Breakfast

11-1pm Thematic workshop to deepen your practice or free time

1pm Lunch

Free time to rest and explore

6pm - 7pm Restorative and Yin Yoga

7.30pm Dinner

(9.30pm, on some evenings, extra movement activities, such as free movement or closing circle)


























Antistress food


Italy is well known for its incredible food, and on this retreat we connect to the delights of Italian plant-based cuisine. The retreat use only the finest locally grown produce that either comes from the Lodge’s garden or neighbouring farms. All organic, they follow the Seasons and cook with love.

Gourmet Vegan recipes are created to re-energise, nourish and heal the body, with carefully selected anti-stress ingredients to encourage rest, recovery and balance to the body, enabling you to head home recharged and rejuvenated.

Meals are served on the outdoor patio, surrounded by nature. If the weather is not perfect, we can eat in the beautiful stone wall room inside.

The full cost includes for 5 days all accommodation, meals, refreshments and morning and evening yoga classes, plus the workshops. We are offering a payment schedule to spread the cost if needed.

Option 1 - pay in full by 28th February, £100 off the full price! (single: £1095, double: £875, triple: £795) 

Option 2 - Reduced price with a payment plan! 30% deposit to secure your booking by 28th February, 40% due by March 31st, final 30% by May 15th (single: £1145, double: £945, triple: £865) 

Option 3 - Pay full price but spread the payments (30% to secure your place, 40% by March 31st, final payment of 30% by May 15th).
